Los Angeles, Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LOS ANGELES — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is pleased to announce a new $5 million grant from the American Red Cross to help people in Los Angeles who have been displaced from their homes by the Palisades Fire.
This partnership aims to expand and enhance the services Habitat LA provides in the Los Angeles area, enabling them to serve more people after a disaster. Through this partnership with the Red Cross, Habitat LA will support rebuilds and repairs for wildfire-impacted households who are experiencing significant barriers in their recovery process.
“Recovery from a disaster of this magnitude requires trusted partners who are committed for the long haul,” said Erin Rank, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. “We are deeply grateful to the Red Cross for investing in Habitat LA’s work and helping us expand the critical services families need to move from displacement toward stability and home. Together, we are helping wildfire-affected Angelenos rebuild not only their homes, but also their sense of security and hope for the future.”
